Background

This interactive form of career guidance can be perfectly integrated into the teaching of secondary school types. The decisive factor is the initiative of the teachers and their early planning of this measure, as many companies advertise their vacant apprenticeship positions as early as 12 to 14 months before the start of training.

 

Goal

The aim of the measure is to inform pupils of all secondary school types about training and career opportunities in the different fields of the metal and electrical industry. They are accompanied and supported by the info teams in their career orientation and search for a suitable apprenticeship.

The target groups of the format are students of secondary schools, teachers and local companies looking for apprentices. The latter benefit from the publicity of this training campaign. Information about apprenticeships and companies is provided to the classes by AusbildungsOffensive-Bayern. The format also offers an apprenticeship exchange with offers for dual courses of study.

The information teams of AusbildungsOffensive-Bayern are invited by the class teacher. They organise 1-2 lessons on the topic of career guidance. The format is also suitable for career guidance in distance learning classes, as it can provide students with digital orientation tools such as career guidance tests. They also provide schools with free teaching materials.

The AusbildungsOffensive-Bayern is an initiative of the Bavarian metal and electrical employers bayme vbm. A total of 3,200 companies from all over Bavaria are represented here.
